Michael Boehm steps up to Chair the NSCF golf fundraiser for the 11th time. Michael held the position of President and Board Chair for eight (8) years, stepping into the Past President Role in 2024. This is the 18th annual tournament. Since 2014 Mike has led the golf tournament and raised several hundred thousand dollars and today this fund is close to one million dollars. In addition, and since inception, the North Shore Community Foundation has disbursed close to one million dollars. These funds have supported various North Shore based organizations. The charities and not-for-profits make a difference across a wide range of areas. Programs include health and wellbeing, senior services, youth services, mental wellness & recovery, safe housing and of course the impacts of Covid. The 2025 theme is Supporting Youth Today and Building For The Future Our two beneficiaries are MONOVA and Hollyburn Community Services Society As the tournament always sells out, we are making sponsors a priority for golfing. Sponsors are permitted to book up to one foursome with their sponsorship package. We welcome all sponsors, new and past. Join us! This is Michael’s final year as chair of the NSCF golf tournament. |
IN 2024 |
MONOVA’s use of funds will make field trips to MONOVA free for all Grade 5 classes in the North Vancouver School District (SD44) in the 2025/26 school year. Many schools and students face financial barriers that prevent them from participating in field trips, limiting their exposure to diverse perspectives, cultures, and learning opportunities. This will impact approximately 1,200 students in the school district providing them with an enriching learning experience.
Hollyburn Community Services Society recently celebrated its 20-year anniversary, emphasizing our commitment to supporting youth, seniors, and families facing social vulnerabilities. We focus on building resilience and self-sufficiency while maintaining dignity and fostering a sense of belonging.
